Texas Rangers

The Texas Rangers began play in 1972 when the expansion Washington Senators moved their franchise after the 1971 season. The expansion Washington Senators began play in 1961 after the original Washington Senators moved to Minnesota and became the Minnesota Twins that same year. They've met the Cubs just twice in interleague play in 2002 and 2007. Sammy Sosa hit his 600th career home run as a member of the Rangers in 2007 against the Cubs and RHP Jason Marquis.
