Drafted in 39th round of Cubs 2009 Draft, and last played for the Iowa Cubs as a RHP.
Offered scholarship to University of Portland, but passed. Offered walk-on role with University of Oregon and Oregon St. but decided to attend (CC) Mt. Hood instead. Partially so he could also play the field. Was offered a scholarship to University of Hawaii after one year at Mt. Hood, but accepted Cubs offer.

I would say right now to lefties my ‘out’ pitch would be my changeup and to righties, I like to throw my curveball, which is more of a slider.
