Cubs traded Mark DeRosa to Cleveland Indians before 2009 season on strength of Fontenot's 2008 part-time play and to have more left-handed bats in lineup.
Arbitration eligibile after 2009 season as Super-Two and agreed to $1,000,000 contract.[1]
Earned $430,000 in 2009.
