Status: He was released after the 2008 season and signed with the Florida Marlins. He was traded back to the Cubs in July of 2009 and then released again after the season.
Drafted as a shortstop, but played first, third base and DH in the farm system.

Thanks to the free agent compensation system, the Cubs received an extra draft pick from the New York Yankees when they signed Rondell White after the 2001 seaso that pick was used on Craig.
