Cubs Rookie of the Year Winners

A Cubs player has won the National League Rookie of the Year five times; Geovany Soto in 2008, Kerry Wood in 1998, Jerome Walton in 1989, Ken Hubbs in 1962 and Billy Williams in 1961. Major League Baseball began handing out the award in 1947 to the best rookie in either league. Starting in 1950 there was a Rookie of the Year winner in each league.
