Cubs All Century Team

In 1999, MasterCard sponsored the Major League Baseball All-Century Team. A panel of experts compiled a list of the 100 greatest players from the last 100 years, fans then voted on this list. The top two vote-getters at each infield position, the top nine outfielders, and the top six pitchers were named to the team. An oversight committee added an additional five players. Thirteen players of the initial list of 100 played for the Cubs at some point in their careers. They are listed below, along with their place in voting by position. Those that made the final team are in bold.
