Drafted in 2nd round of Cubs 2008 Draft and played for 3 seasons. He was released by Cubs in spring of 2011, signed on with Atlanta Braves
He was originally selected in the 2005 Amateur Draft by the Cleveland Indians in the 16th round (484th overall) out of high school, but chose to attend college at Wichita State.

Injury History

Back injury in 2006[1]
Abdomen injury and elbow stiffness in college during the 2007 season,[2] the abdomen injury requiring surgery. Elbow problems have been rumored to cause a drop in his velocity.
Forearm tightness in May of 2009, went on 7-day disabled list for Peoria. Returned on June 6th, 2009. [3]
