Chicago Cubs Minor League Affiliates went a combined 352-330 for a .516 winning percentage in 2009. The Peoria Chiefs and Tennessee Smokies were the only two affiliates to make the postseason. Tennessee played in the Southern North division and finished first in the second half to make the Southern League playoffs. They defeated the Huntsville Stars(Milwaukee Brewers affiliate) 3-1 in the first round of the playoffs, but lost to the Jacksonville Suns(Florida Marlins affiliate) 3-1 in the championship round.
